Scarecrow Contest
For you budding artists, bring the funniest, scariest or silliest scarecrow you can! Or build one at the festival, straw and supplies will be provided, but make sure to bring items that will make your scarecrow stand out above the rest (clothes, hats, costume jewelry, etc.). You can make your scarecrow by yourself or gather up some friends and do it together.
ESSAY CONTEST
For you aspiring writers, using 100 words or less, tell us about what you like best about autumn or write a story imagining a fun fall adventure. Be sure to include your school, your name and grade on your essay and send it to lmskidz@gmail.com by Monday, October 11, 2010.
Local children's author David Morhaim, a member of the Artists Network, will be judging the essay contest. You can meet the author on October 17th at the event and his books will be available for purchase.
Winners of both contests will be announced at the event. You do not need to be present to win. |
