We are excited to announce that Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network is offering a Summer Art Program for children.

Something fabulous for each of the Summer Camp weeks, with all kinds of opportunities to paint, sculpt, and create. The only thing to bring is your enthusiasm and imagination.

Just Added by Popular Request: Watercolor for Kids Beginning Saturday July 17, for 6 weeks Time: 11:00am-12:30 pm Age: School Age Fee: $80 for 6 sessions Teacher: Teresa Prashad Experience a first taste of art with this fun art class. The class will allow the student to explore, create and develop their creative side. The artist/instructor will give one-on-one instruction as the student paints. Please complete the registration form and send to LMS Artists Network. Payment is made to the individual teacher and is expected at the time of application. There are class minimums that must be met in order to run the Session. Classes will be cancelled if the minimum number is not met. The teachers reserve the right to limit the size of the class based on their criteria. Late fees will apply if drop off and pick up times are not adhered to.

2nd Saturday Receptions

"Poetically Inspired Art"
May 8th 4pm-7pm

Poetry joins art as the Lawrence Main Street Artists Network artists take their inspiration from poetry. This exhibit will feature the poems of some local Lawrenceville poets.

Join us for a glass of wine and some tasty treats from one of Lawrenceville’s local restaurants. Selected poets will be sharing their work with a poetry reading during the reception.

Discover your inner talent. If you are looking to gain knowledge and skill to create paintings that express your ideas and emotions than this is the class for you. Learn new techniques from award winning artist who will direct you as you paint. 

Forever Quilts (Adults)

Three Session Course: Held on Tuesdays or Fridays
Starting date to be determined by student(s) and teacher. Minimum 2 students required for class to start.
Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Fee: $100 Materials are not included.

Sign up for this 3 week quilt course and you will have a treasure to take home. Bring in your stored away children’s baby clothing, mothers hankies or doilies. We will choose a quilt design, size, and work to create a beautiful keepsake. Great for wedding, - graduation, - baby and anniversary gifts or you can keep this masterpiece for yourself. Teacher will provide you with a supply list. No quilting experience required. If you can not bring a sewing machine please contact the teacher.

Cigar Box Art (Adults)

Friday April 16

Come spend Friday night with other women and unleash your inner artist. Over wine and cheese make a cigar box purse or a keepsake box for your special trinkets.

Silk Scarf

Learn how to make a lovely hand-painted silk scarf of your own design. Materials cost is $20 which includes 1 yard of fabric (sufficient for one scarf) and silk dyes.

Geometric String Design Dates: 3/6, 3/20
Come design your own string art! Order and symmetry are the basis of string art’s appeal. Elaborate designs can be created with geometric shapes, points, and colored string. Everyone will have an opportunity to make their own individual creation.

Styrofoam Printing Dates: 4/10, 4/24
Printmaking can be a fun way to explore the world of art. Children will carve the stryofoam into a printing block and then make a print of their own creative design. The children will learn the techniques of multicolor printing.

Polymer Clay Beads Dates: 5/8, 5/22
If you love working with clay, try working at a small scale making beads! Come make a polymer clay bead necklace, bracelet, or piece of art. A great way for your child to make a gift for Mother’s Day.

Stationary Making, Recycled Paper Date: 6/12
Come and make stationary and postcards to take with you this summer to send to your friends and family. We will used recyclable supplies for our creations. Bring your collection of string, glitter, small flat treasures to embellish your stationary! Come have some fun!
